I planned on releasing a different song to you but I’m experiencing technical difficulties with Logic Pro that’s preventing me from bouncing down a final mix to show you guys. It’s also preventing me from making/saving any new material I may create. So I fired up our good old friend, GarageBand. I promised myself I would release a song so I challenged myself to sit down and write, compose, mix, and release a song in a day.
The point wasn’t to release something quick but rather to prove to myself that the only thing keeping me from releasing new content and creating new art is myself. All you have to do is sit down and play. It’s that easy to make music. Sometimes it’s easy to lose sight of how easy it can be with trying to get the latest programs, gear, VST’s, and plug-in’s to get the best sounds. Sometimes what you need to remember is that the creative part of you doesn’t need any of that. Cometh was made with GarageBand using all stock instruments and sounds. I know it may not be as high quality as previous tracks I’ve released but the song itself stands on it’s own.
So enjoy this creation. In all it’s glory, imperfections, and warts and all. Turn your volume up, press play, and let the experience of music take you.
